Hurricane Katrina Relief

Hurricane Katrina made a big impact on Americans and the world. With the help of deverus clients as well as several of our clients' customers in the Gulf Region, we support the relief and rebuilding efforts. In addition to volunteering and lending a special hand to clients and neighbors, deverus donated $1,000 to the Katrina relief fund.

Tsunami Relief Fund

deverus spearheaded a donation drive for the Tsunami Relief effort that raised over $13,500. deverus clients, partners, employees, as well as friends and family provided contributions.

The Hispanic Scholarship Consortium

The Hispanic Scholarship Consortium (HSC) is a collective of grassroots organizations who channel their resources to provide financial and mentoring opportunities to help Hispanic students get into and succeed in college. deverus supports the efforts of HSC through a recent financial gift of $400.

Wisdom at Work

Shawn Rucks is a member of Wisdom at Work, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing wisdom to the work place here in Austin, Texas. Wisdom At Work is dedicated to the spiritual well-being and personal fulfillment of individuals and to the vitality of their organizations.

National Association of Professional Background Screenings– Founding Member

Founded in 2003 as a non-profit trade association, NAPBS serves to represent the interest of companies offering employment and background screening. NAPBS offers an opportunity for qualified companies to participate in shaping the body of knowledge and events impacting our futures.

deverus participates in the association as a founding member, financial sponsor to NAPBS events, and through actively working on committees. deverus members have attended the NAPBS Day on the Hill legislative event in Washington D.C., served as the Chair on multiple sub-committees responsible for the development of industry Guidelines, and generally offered time and talents to benefit the entire industry.

HR-XML Consortium Charter Member

The HR-XML Consortium is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the development and promotion of a standard suite of XML specifications to enable e-business and the automation of human resources-related data exchanges.

deverus reflects our support through attendance of meetings, as well as serving in a leadership role to develop the implementation guide for the latest version of the HR-XML standards and participation in the weekly conference calls.
